Position: Senior Backend Software Engineer, Supply Chain 

Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 

Duties: Design, develop and support "Unified Promise Orchestrator" for multiple tenants of Walmart. Optimize and scale existing features to meet the rising customer demand. Develop complex and scalable software features for application that manages Fulfillment Price and acts an orchestration layer between the Walmart ecommerce website and the backend fulfillment services. Design and develop optimized solutions that help default to the best method to fulfill items from all the available options to improve the customer experience and reduce shipment cost to Walmart. Setup monitoring and alerting system to monitor infrastructure running software for the Unified Promise Orchestration platform. Automate production software deployments using Devops tools such as WCNP, Jenkins, Kubernetes and Docker. Participate in the discovery stage of medium to large scale software engineering projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather the business requirements, draft technical requirements, scope, design, develop, test and deploy services and systems. Collaborate with team to perform design and code reviews, provide constructive feedback, improve operational excellence to ensure high quality, high availability, scalable and performant systems. Provide operational support for special sale events such as console events, holiday events etc. Root-cause analysis of complex problems involving multiple parties, networks, hardware, software that relate to scaling and performance and fix them as required. Utilize testing methodologies, test tools, and environments to ensure quality and reliability. Utilize AKKA for building distributed and concurrent applications. 

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology or related field requirement. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills. 

Skills required: Experience with designing and building complex algorithms. Experience with software design patterns. Experience with cloud services including Azure, GCP. Experience with Kafka. Experience with agile methodologies including SCRUM. Experience with unit testing frameworks including TestNG, Mockito and JUnit. Experience with scripts development for automated testing framework and test cases. Experience with code version tools including GitHub. Experience with Application Servers including Apache Tomcat. Experience with code build tools including Maven. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills. 

Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
