Senior Azure Data Engineer
**CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Azure Data Engineer position for our client.** **Location:** Piscataway, NJ **Duration:** 11 months **Duties:** + Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise-scale data solutions on the Microsoft Azure data cloud platform. + Build, optimize, and maintain robust data pipelines for batch and real-time data ingestion and processing. + Architect and manage data storage and processing solutions using Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Server, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric. + Implement data integration and orchestration workflows using Azure Data Factory. + Support data governance, metadata management, and data lineage using Microsoft Purview. + Develop and manage solutions leveraging Cosmos DB for scalable, distributed data workloads. + Collaborate with analytics, data science, and business teams to enable advanced analytics, AI/ML, and OpenAI/GenAI use cases. + Ensure data quality, performance, security, and reliability across the Azure data ecosystem. + Participate in code reviews, documentation, and DevOps-driven CI/CD processes. **Skills:** + Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Server, Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Purview, and Cosmos DB. + Experience supporting AI/ML and OpenAI/GenAI-driven data solutions in Azure. + Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, T-SQL, Java, R, or Scala. + Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and distributed data processing. + Working knowledge of Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD pipelines, and release management (preferred). **Experience:** + 7+ years of overall data engineering experience. + 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing data solutions on Microsoft Azure. + Proven experience building and supporting complex, large-scale data platforms in an enterprise environment. **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $120,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
