The Senior Associate FP&A, is a position within the Mexico Accounting Team. The Sr. Associate FP&A will work closely with other members of the organization, especially members of Regional Shared Service, Tax teams and Corporate. The Sr Associate FP&A is responsible for supporting in all the requirements for the statutory audits and any other accounting related matters.
Responsibilities:• Prepare and record the journal entries/adjustments for differences between US GAAP and local GAAP for all Mexico legal entities in SAP.
• Keep control of Local Annual Adjustments (reversals & posting for USGAAP)
• Perform BS or P&L account reconciliations for audit purposes or as per needed.
• Prepare requested workpapers for any ad-hoc statutory audits and examinations from external or internal inquiries, including but not limited to governmental agencies, external auditors, etc.
• Support on preparations of Business Notes for Financial Statements.
• Prepare rollforward for Accruals / Provisions.
• Coordinate FA Physical Inspection.
• Perform Account Analysis.
• Responsible for INEGI & ANIQ Reports preparation
• Identify and cultivate productive relationships with business partners.
• Identify, solve, and/or escalate local accounting issues to Manager, where applicable.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
• Stay current with statutory rules/regulations and implement the new standards in accordance with Mexican FRS guidelines.
• Provide support to Manager on any other ad hoc analysis or special projects as requested.
• Tax basic knowledge to support on Tax related matters.
Qualifications:• Great working knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP accounting, required.
• Ability to analyze and understand the differences between US GAAP and local GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills and use of SAP.
• Self-Starter.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Seeks to proactively drive change by making process and other recommendations to enhance processes and deliverables.
• Detail-oriented with an ability to critically analyze financial data and prepare reports.
• Excellent communication skills - both written and oral. Must be able to ask questions and gather data from a variety of resources and other staff members.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enjoys interacting and collaborating with team members and business partners who may be in different countries.
• Excellent time management.
