Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Application Production Support Senior Engineer to join our Enterprise Integration production support team.  This role will ensure the reliability and stability of mission‑critical integration systems. This role plays a key part in minimizing service disruptions by leading incident resolution and restoring services quickly in a fast‑paced production environment. The position has a direct impact on system uptime, operational resilience, and the overall experience of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include:

Lead resolution of critical production incidents for enterprise integration systems, coordinating with application, infrastructure, and vendor teams to restore services quickly and meet defined SLAs.

Own root cause analysis and drive permanent fixes, including automation, monitoring, and performance improvements to reduce repeat incidents and downtime.

Define, track, and report on service metrics and KPIs, providing clear status updates, incident reports, and risk communications to business and technical stakeholders.

Establish and enforce integration support standards, including documentation, runbooks, data flow diagrams, and troubleshooting playbooks, ensuring audit and policy compliance.

Provide technical leadership to the support team by mentoring engineers, assigning clear ownership, and continuously improving support processes and system reliability.


Required Qualifications

7+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years working with REST APIs, microservices, and infrastructure (servers, databases, cloud platforms).

Hands‑on production support experience for enterprise applications, with a demonstrated focus on system uptime, stability, and incident resolution.

1+ year of experience implementing monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, or similar platforms.

Working knowledge of ITSM processes and tools, including ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management.

Ability to operate effectively in high‑pressure environments, including participation in 24/7 on‑call rotations when required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience applying AI or machine learning tools to improve production operations, monitoring, or incident response.

Background in both software development and production support, enabling effective troubleshooting across the full application lifecycle.

Experience leading or mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross‑functional teams and external partners.

Healthcare industry experience, including familiarity with regulated production environments.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Highschool diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $260,590.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
