Senior Application Administrator

**Position Overview**
The Senior Application Administrator leads complex configuration efforts, supports integrations, and mentors junior admins. This role bridges technical and functional teams to ensure optimal application performance and alignment with business goals.
**A Day In The Life**
**Lead configuration and optimization of enterprise applications: 30%**
+ Manage the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of product-related systems and applications.
+ Proactively monitor system health & performance, availability, and security, operate within expected SLAs.
+ Lead system upgrades, migrations, enhancements, and new feature deployments while ensuring minimal downtime.
+ Configure system settings, user roles, permissions, and workflows to enhance usability and efficiency.
**Mentor junior administrators and contribute to knowledge sharing: 5%**
**Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions: 10%**
+ Provide user training, documentation, and support to improve adoption and system usage.
+ Foster relationships with key business partners to identify pain points, validate concerns through audits, and assess impact.
+ Develop testing plans and pilots to evaluate features against KPIs, guiding go/no-go decisions and roadmap adjustments.
**Design and implement automation scripts and workflows: 20%**
+ Identify opportunities to improve system performance and efficiency.
+ Implement automation for routine administrative tasks and workflows.
+ Analyze feedback from users and stakeholders to drive system improvements
**Manage integrations between SaaS and on-prem systems: 20%**
+ Manage the integration of product systems with other enterprise applications, ensuring seamless data flow via API’s and automation tools.
+ Collaborate with product managers and development teams to implement system enhancements and new features.
+ Conduct testing and validation of system upgrades and changes that could impact integrations.
**Serve as a subject matter expert for application functionality and best practices: 15%**
+ Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for system-related issues, working closely with vendors, IT and product teams.
+ Investigate and resolve system errors, performance issues, and integration failures.
+ Develop and document best practices and standard operating procedures.
+ Communicate critical technical issues in business terms and provide status updates with contingency options.
**You'll Come With**
**Education:** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
**Licenses/Certification/Registration:** Coupa Certified Administrator desired
**Experience:**
+ 5+ years of professional experience
+ 5+ years of experience in system analysis, implementation, and administration
+ Proficient in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, APIs).
+ Strong understanding of SaaS and on-premise application ecosystems.
+ Experience with system integrations and data flows.
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
**Skills and Abilities:**
+ 3 years of experience administering procure to pay solutions or similar spend management systems; Coupa strongly preferred. Coupa certifications (e.g., Coupa Platform Admin) a plus.
+ End to end functional knowledge of procurement, invoicing, and expense management workflows.
+ Advises on the approach and techniques to be used for business situation analysis. Ensures holistic view adopted to identify and analyze wide-ranging problems and opportunities.
+ Uses application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.
+ Strong oral, written, and presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple ways to all levels of the organization.
+ Develops, configures and maintains tools (including automation) to identify, track, log and maintain accurate, complete and current information.
+ Investigates problems in systems, processes and services.
+ Creative and flexible mindset to planning and problem-solving, ability to lean into the details while maintaining the “big picture”
+ Experience with system integrations products (e.g., Informatica), particularly with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle EBS, SAP).
+ A highly service-orientated approach with a track record of delivery and client satisfaction.
+ Preferred experience with data analysis & reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
+ Develops, documents and implements changes based on requests for change.
