Senior Analyst Developer - Opera RPG-AS400/Java

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Senior Analyst/Developer is responsible for participating in the project to develop and maintain payroll applications on the Opera AS400 and modernized Opera (Web) systems, reporting to the Payroll Service Center. You will play a strategic role in the analysis, development, and support of the Opera payroll system. You will act as a liaison between the business and technical teams, ensuring that the delivered solutions meet functional requirements while respecting technological constraints.

- Analysis and drafting of functional analysis documentation for the evolution and maintenance of applications in RPG IV and ILE on IBM i AS400

- Technical analysis of documentation

- Estimation of effort requirements

- Implementation and/or monitoring of implementation
- Unit and functional testing, monitoring of acceptance tests
- Monitoring, support, and resolution of application problems

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, minimum of 4 years in functional analysis. - Excellent time management and prioritization skills

- Excellent teamwork and leadership skills

- Knowledge of payroll and HR solutions

- Knowledge of agile development methodologies

- Knowledge of data analysis and modeling methodologies

- Knowledge of web application development and Java programming, SQL databases (an asset)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French
Essential technical specializations:

- RPG with technical aspects of DDS files, printer files, spool files, display files, library lists, and other IBM i-specific aspects

- IBM i / AS400 and CL / CMD

- IBM DB2

- IBM Rational Developer for i IDE

- Eclipse IDE

- Spring Framework, ThymeLeaf

- Java programming language (a significant asset)

- MSSQL databases

- Elasticsearch

- iReport, Jasper Linux, AIX, and BASH scripting

- Data area, data queue, and/or job queue

• CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000–$115,000. This role is an existing vacancy
