Senior Analyst | Operational Risk Capital and Scenarios

You’ll work on Economic Capital, Scenario Analysis, and Stress Testing with a primary focus on non-financial risk measurement. As a member of the team, you will primarily be responsible for calculation of non-financial risk capital requirements across the Macquarie Group, working closely with business and risk teams to quantify our material non-financial risks using a scenario-based approach.
As part of the broader Capital & Aggregate Risk Measurement team, you will also have the opportunity to work on developing, monitoring and implementing the Macquarie Group’s economic capital adequacy methodology and models, reviewing proposals for new businesses and activities across Macquarie Group to determine the economic capital requirements of those activities for appropriate risk adjusted returns, and ensuring that the frameworks are applied correctly in various business units across the Group for new deals and in scenario analysis processes.
What you offer

Experience in either Regulatory / Economic Capital, Stress Testing, Scenario Analysis, or Operational Risk. Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders at all levels Strong problem-solving skills, both quantitative and qualitative, and the ability to work independently on unique challenges. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead conversations with business leaders and risk management colleagues. A degree in STEM, Finance, or a related discipline. Some background in ICAAP, ICARA, Basel III, etc… would be advantageous.
