And we do it all with heart, each and every day. **Position Summary** + Prepares and delivers moderately complex new business quotes, existingbusiness renewals and/or conversion + Complexity of work increases astechnical skills progress. + Independently reviews work for accuracy andrecommends pricing and/or accounting alternatives based on financialanalysis, underwriting principals, and business strategy. + Anticipates questions and formulate responses. + Utilizes advanced functionality of underwriting tools, systems, and reference materials to produce accuratequotes, renewals and/or accountings. + Applies underwriting guidelines and grants underwriting exceptions/financial variances for their assigned caseswithin the authority limit for the position. + Independently assists sales personnel in explaining rate/fee, accounting balance development andcommunicating underwriting policy. + May present information to employers,brokers and consultants. + Produces timely and accurate customer specificdocuments, deliverables and accounting related information. + Ensures the pricing supports the quote/renewal strategy. + Assists department with projects or workgroups. Identifies and supports process improvementthrough automation or process change. + Conducts audits on fees and claim wires to ensure all receivables are accurate and accounted for. + Tracks and approves customer allowances goals usingcompliance guidelines. + Assists less experienced underwriters indevelopment of technical skills or specific subject matter. \#AetnaUW **Required Qualifications** + 2+ years of Underwriting experience + Working knowledge of execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills + Working knowledge of business intelligence + Working knowledge of problem solving and decision making skills **Preferred Qualifications** **Strong written and verbal communication skills** + Adept at collaboration and teamwork + Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills **Education** + High school diploma/GED required. + Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification. **Anticipated Weekly Hours** 40 **Time Type** Full time **Pay Range** The typical pay range for this role is: $46,988.00 - $112,200.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
