About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Analyst, Compensation Advisory to join our team in Toronto. Reporting to the Director, Compensation & Global Mobility, the Senior Analyst will be held accountable for providing value add, detailed analysis and insights to ensure alignment with our pay for performance compensation philosophy.
What You’ll Do
Conduct analysis and research in support of the design, development and implementation of employee compensation policies and programs.Lead all aspects of the survey submission process including understanding survey methodology, job matching, data gathering, data validation, benchmarking and preparation of data submission files.Conduct analysis of internal equity and external market competitiveness in order to provide intelligence on the overall competitive positioning of employee compensation across the organization.Create enhanced competitive market positioning and trend reporting for HR Business Partners and business leaders.Provide advice and recommendations to the business based upon in-depth analysis and modelling.Consult with and advise HR business partners on compensation policy interpretation, new hire offers, promotions, market analyses and job evaluation.Lead the job evaluation process in accordance with the job architecture structure.Support the quarterly short-term and long-term incentive forecasting process.Support the annual review of employee compensation, merit budgets and incentive pools.Partner with compensation colleagues and HR Business Partners on the implementation and communication of new compensation programs.In partnership with Total Rewards colleagues, develop value-add compensation tools and templates for both end users and the Human Resources team, to ensure efficient and effective compensation processes.Develop strong external networks with compensation peers in other organizations/industries to share compensation information and exchange best practices.Basic Qualifications
University degree, Compensation Professional Certificate or demonstrated equivalent experience.Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in compensation principles, programs, processes and best practices.Prior experience utilizing compensation surveys, data analysis, quantitative analysis and modeling.Ability to work with highly confidential information with professionalism and tact.Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, with the ability to break down complex problems and simplify for communication (verbal including strong presentation skills as well as written) and make recommendations based on interpretation of analysis.Excellent time and project management skills with proven organizational and multi-tasking proficiency.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office programs with deep knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.Location: Toronto Office
The hiring base salary range for this position is 76,300 to 104,900 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
