Job Description

The Senior Analyst, Capital Markets will be a critical player in supporting strategic projects and initiatives within Capital Markets and Treasury. Reporting to the Director, Capital Markets and Treasury BIA, this role involves providing analytical and initiative support to business partners and assisting with detailed investigative analysis. The position requires a proactive approach to advisory services, project support, and compliance monitoring.

ResponsibilitiesServe as a point of contact for business queries and requests, ensuring communication of status and resolutions to the Director.Assist with advisory services to the Controllership team and CFO groups, promoting continuous process improvement.Support new systems initiatives and migrations by providing business requirements, assisting with design solutions, and reviewing test results.Participate in the review and sign-off of new initiative business requirements and ensure regulatory guidelines are adhered to.Assist with various projects by interacting with peers, project teams, Directors, and business partners.Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and the development of new systems and processes to enhance departmental efficiency.Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships with Directors, Senior Analysts, and teams within Capital Markets, Treasury, and related departments.Monitor compliance with regulatory training and ensure consistent application of programs and policies across the business.Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills to maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders.Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to moderately complex finance issues.Organize, prioritize, and balance multiple projects and processes, adapting to a constantly changing environment.Essential SkillsProficiency in financial analysis, accounting, and financial instruments accounting (bonds, swaps, options, futures, and foreign exchange).Experience with SAP, General Ledger, and project finance.Strong knowledge of IFRS and IFRS 9.Ability to utilize financial reporting, forecasting, and data analysis tools such as SQL, VBA, Power BI, Tableau, and Alteryx.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.CPA or CPA PEP certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsCSC (Canadian Securities Course) or CFA certification.Experience with ORACLE, VBA, and Macros.Familiarity with Canadian Securities and treasury reconciliation.Work Environment

The Senior Analyst will report to the Director, Capital Markets and Treasury BIA. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2.25 days per week in the office, with the entire team in the office on the last Friday of the month. The standard work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.
