The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:

Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing and efficient work activities Lead key financial processes including Month End Close, bank reconciliations, managing the chart of accounts, and ensuring timely debt payments Supervise and manage Accounting Personnel, coordinating their work, recruiting, training, providing timely feedback, and conducting personnel reviews Maintain control and compliance by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures, ensuring a documented system of internal controls Support Budgeting and Reporting by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, calculating variances, and preparing necessary reports for management

 

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience) is required 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a major company or division Required experience managing processes and overseeing staff in an accounting function Strong knowledge of Audit, Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Tracking Budget Expenses Experience with Developing Budgets and Analyzing Information Working knowledge of maintaining a system of internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
