About Position / Position Summary

This Senior Accounting Manager - APAC-MEA Region position with overall responsibilities for leading the Asia-Pacific, Middle East & Africa Accounting team in a challenging, dynamic and complex environment

This role will be based out of Bengaluru, India.

Position Responsibilities:

Provides oversight and consultation on application of accounting practices, principles and theory in application of local GAAP and relationship to US GAAP

Provides oversight to ensure that the development of systems, processes and concepts of operations enables the business to comply with all local and US accounting requirements, regulations and policies. Examples include accounting integration for new entity set-up

Responsibilities included in the statement of work are:

Manage the accounting for the Company's international business units in the region, which includes a mix of commercial, corporate and some defense business activities

Ensures that all requirements of the monthly close processes are complete including analysis of account fluctuations and monthly account reconciliations

Completion of statutory reporting requirements and support of internal and external audits of our international activity, including working closely with external auditors for completion of annual financial statements

Responsible for entity oversight and governance support, including entity directorships, bank account signatory, various invoice approvals, and other compliances

Partner with local business leadership across large defense and commercial entities. Participate in regular country-leadership meetings.

Act as liaison between the US and local Accounting Teams including enterprise accounting system journal support, intercompany out of balance clearing, variance analysis, unbilled cost COE, and other closing activities

Effective oversight of off-shore third-party BPO support

Support Tax audits as necessary

Support M&A activities impacting business within the regions

Build strategic relationships to influence personal and organizational effectiveness and enable cross-business/functional integration

Align organization’s strategies to Boeing strategies and execute on priorities

Communicate across, up and down through the organization—translating and making key company/leadership goals or priorities relevant

Sustain a high performing team that delivers results and thrives in the international environment

Ability to operate across multiple ERPs, including in particular SAP and Oracle E-Business

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION

Fully qualified chartered accountant

Experience leading teams

Experience working with Third Party / BPO Providers

Experience completing annual statutory audits

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience ) :

US GAAP knowledge or exposure

Experience working in a multinational business

Familiarity with ERP tools such as Oracle E-Business and/or SAP, Blackline, etc.

Experience working as part of a global team

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 17 Plus years' related work experience or Master’s Degree with 16+ years of experience with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
