**Job Description**
**What You’ll Do**
+ Provides governance over core accounting activities (AP, AR, fixed assets) by setting standards, monitoring execution, and resolving complex issues.
+ Reviews and validates customer invoicing and revenue recognition to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
+ Leads the execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including close calendars, task tracking, and quality checks.
+ Prepares, consolidates, and interprets financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow/cash forecast) with insightful variance analysis and supporting schedules.
+ Reviews journal entries and account reconciliations for accuracy, appropriate support, and proper cutoff; escalates and corrects deficiencies.
+ Ensures compliance with government grant reporting and filing requirements; maintains documentation and timelines.
+ Coordinates responses to internal and external audit requests, compiling evidence and narratives to support audit procedures and control testing.
+ Contributes to budget and forecast cycles through data validation, modeling support, and performance analysis; recommends adjustments based on trends.
+ Drafts, refines, and maintains accounting policies and procedures; serves as a subject-matter expert on technical accounting matters.
+ Supports tax filings and audits by preparing schedules, reconciling data, and aligning financial results to tax requirements.
+ Serves as the functional owner for financial and accounting modules within the ERP, including configuration guidance, data integrity, and user enablement.
+ Maintains organized, audit-ready records and documentation; improves retention and retrieval processes.
+ Designs and champions standardized, efficient accounting processes; identifies and implements continuous improvements and automation opportunities.
+ Monitors the integrity and effectiveness of internal controls; performs control reviews and partners with stakeholders to remediate gaps.
+ Handles ad hoc analyses, special projects, and deliverables as needed; prioritizes assignments to meet competing deadlines.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned and required to support accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.

**Basic Requirement** **/ Certifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field with 8+ years financial planning and analysis experience OR
+ Master’s degree in Finance or related field with 6+ years financial planning and analysis experience
+ Strong system knowledge, with preference in SAP and MS Office Suite products
+ Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to track, measure and identify improvement solutions.
+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
**Preferred Requirements / Certifications**
+ Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry experience
+ Prior experience working with Pharma or Bio-tech industry
+ Ability to be flexible and adaptable, moving and managing projects with different objectives, milestones, and deliverables.
