Job Description
The Accounting Associate will be responsible for accounting activities that support the Corporate Accounting group. The role encompasses a variety of accounting tasks including account analyses and reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and preparation of schedules for internal and external auditors. Additionally, the position involves various functional accounting-related duties.
ResponsibilitiesManage the monthly accounting close process and ensure accurate financial reportingPrepare account reconciliations and analyze variancesMaintain financial controls and meet quality standardsWork with teams across FP&A, Asset Planning, Sourcing, and TaxSupport internal and external audits with documentation and explanationsHelp document and test SOX controls for the Accounts Payable processPartner with Genpact to complete close activities and deliver reliable servicesEssential SkillsReconciliationAP experienceVariance AnalysisSAP Experience or any large ERP experienceSuccessful execution of month end/quarter end close activities, including review of journal entries and account reconciliationsResponsible for the GR (goods receipt)/IR (invoice receipt) Reconciliation processPreparation/Review of supporting documentation for property tax and sales & use tax filingsAdditional Skills & QualificationsEducation: Master degree OR Bachelor degree and 2 years of experience OR Associate degree and 6 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 8 years of experienceWork Environment
The position offers remote work, preferably with proximity to Tampa. Working hours are from 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. The dress code is business casual.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
