About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to provide interim support during a maternity leave for the General Ledger (GL) Accounting team at a large, fast-growing defense contractor (approximately $3B in revenue). You will join a GL team of four and play a key role in supporting high-volume intercompany accounting, month-end close activities, and account reconciliations.
This role is ideal for an experienced GovCon accounting professional who is comfortable stepping into a fast-paced environment and contributing quickly in an interim capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-volume intercompany accounting activitiesSupport month-end close preparation and related activitiesComplete post-close account reconciliationsPrepare and post journal entriesPrepare and post treasury entriesPost cash receipts in a timely and accurate mannerSupport audit requests, including gathering documentation and responding to inquiriesRequired Qualifications
3+ years of GL accounting experience with a large government contractor (approximately $200M+ in revenue)Bachelor’s degree in AccountingDirect experience with intercompany accountingDeltek Costpoint experienceStrong Microsoft Excel skills, including: Pivot tablesVLOOKUPsPrior experience working within the Government Contracting (GovCon) industryPreferred/Additional Qualifications
Experience with CognosTreasury experienceCash account reconciliations experienceComfortable working in an interim contract roleWork Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
