We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Cost Accounting Manager to join our manufacturing team in the greater Plymouth, Wisconsin area. In this critical role, you will oversee accounting operations, with a strong focus on cost accounting and financial reporting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with leadership and contribute to the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of the organization.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely monthly closings.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals with precision.
• Oversee inventory and cost balances while investigating and addressing any discrepancies.
• Provide functional oversight for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities carried out by the accounting team.
• Collaborate with operations to refine labor routings, work centers, and overhead cost drivers.
• Develop and refine standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead to improve cost visibility.
• Generate detailed margin and cost reports for products, product families, and jobs.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparations.
• Document and enhance accounting processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen cost reporting and operational insights.
Requirements • A minimum of 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, including standard costing, inventory management, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, with experience in NetSuite being highly preferable.
• Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close activities and prepare financial statements.
• Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented skills to handle complex accounting tasks.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide functional direction to accounting staff.
