Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join the finance team at a growing holding company within a publicly traded organization. This role will play a key part in the monthly close, financial reporting, and accounting operations across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is technically strong, process-minded, and comfortable operating in a public-company environment with evolving complexity.
This position offers meaningful exposure to leadership, cross-functional partners, and public company reporting standards, with clear opportunities for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for assigned entities
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist with consolidation activities and intercompany accounting
• Support internal and external financial reporting, including public company requirements
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and SOX-related processes
• Partner with FP& A, tax, and audit teams to support reporting, analysis, and audits
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation
• Assist with system enhancements, integrations, and process automation initiatives
• Support ad hoc projects related to growth initiatives, acquisitions, or restructuring
Requirements
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting
+ Public (Audit) accounting Foundation, Big 4 preferred
+ Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
+ CPA nice to have
+ Strong ability to prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
+ Experience with bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
+ Knowledge of US accounting regulations and compliance standards.
+ Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in financial review processes.
+ Familiarity with financial systems and software, with a focus on automation and integration.
+ Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
