Beacon Hill Financial is looking for a contract to hire Senior Accountant for our client in the Minneapolis Minnesota area. This role is paying up to $36/hr.

Job Duties

Manage month-end and year-end closing process.Preparation of monthly financial statements (income statement and balance sheet)Monitor cash flowResearch and provide detailed explanations to variances between actual and budget monthly.Assist with annual budgets and monthly forecasts.Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance.Develop and implement internal controls and financial procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.Participate in the annual audit process with external auditors.Continuously evaluate accounting policies and procedures for efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressively responsible experience in accountingKnowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.Experience with QuickBooks Desktop.International Accounting or Currency experience is highly preferred
