Senior Accountant - Life Sciences

Contract-to-Hire | $80,000-$100,000

A rapidly growing Life Sciences organization is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations, month‑end close, and financial reporting. This role sits within a dynamic and mission‑driven environment focused on innovation, compliance, and operational excellence.

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial statements, supporting audits, enhancing internal controls, and partnering cross‑functionally with R&D, Operations, and FP&A. The ideal candidate has strong GAAP knowledge, experience in Life Sciences (biotech, pharma, medical device), and a proactive mindset.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsPrepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAPSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisPartner with R&D and Operations on project accounting, capex, and cost trackingAssist with process improvements and implementation of internal controlsSupport annual audit and tax preparation activitiesMaintain general ledger accuracy and ensure proper documentationContribute to system and process enhancements within accounting/ERP platformsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field4-7+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong understanding of US GAAPLife sciences industry experience preferred (biotech, pharma, medical device, CDMO, diagnostics)Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)Strong Excel skills; analytical and detail‑orientedAbility to work in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environmentCompensationBase Salary: $80,000-$100,000 (depending on experience)Schedule: Full timeStructure: Contract‑to‑HireWhy Join?Opportunity to transition into a long‑term roleHigh‑visibility position within a growing Life Sciences organizationCollaborative, mission-driven cultureCareer growth and skill development
