Beacon Hill Financial is searching for a contract to hire Senior Accountant for our client in the Springfield, Missouri area. This role is paying up to $75,000 annually (equivalent hourly while on contract) and will be 4 days in office and 1 day remote a week after training. Job Duties

Manage month-end and year-end closing process.Preparation of monthly financial statements (income statement and balance sheet)Monitor cash flowResearch and provide detailed explanations to variances between actual and budget monthly.Assist with annual budgets and monthly forecasts.Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance.Develop and implement internal controls and financial procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.Participate in the annual audit process with external auditors.Continuously evaluate accounting policies and procedures for efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressively responsible experience in accountingSpanish is not essential for this role, but familiarity with the language is advantageous.Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.Experience with QuickBooks Desktop.Self-motivated, goal-oriented, excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
