Seeking to advance your expertise in accounting while making a measurable impact? As a Senior Accountant at Spectrum, you will oversee the preparation, analysis and interpretation of general ledger entries and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Your role will shape clear financial insights and drive operational excellence across assigned cable systems.


How You’ll Make an Impact

Prepare month-end journal entries from accounting transactions over the calendar month including A/R and Bank Reconciliations, operating accruals, and misc. revenueReview assigned intermediate to complex ledgers to understand the variances both in trends and to budget and be prepared to present the financial statements to the accounting managerProvide insight into the variances of assigned ledgers including communicating with Field KMA personnel on accounting related issues, completing monthly KMA variance reports, supporting the KPMG audit process, and providing specific required analysis on assigned areasAffirm revenue validations and perform revenue analysisComplete filings for assigned areas including semi-annual copyright filings and business licensesUpdate all required schedules for maintaining the balance sheet, complete bank and accounts receivable reconciliationsResponsible for compliance with SOX controlsReview transactional level details including accounts payable transactions and adjust the ledger accordingly

Required Qualifications
Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

Experience

4+ years of general ledger accounting work experience
