THE ROLE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong Senior Accountant to support all aspects of own all aspects of accounting, reporting, financial systems and financial operations, helping to ensure all are maintained in compliance with internal controls, GAAP and governmental rules. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of accounting experience with strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills plus advanced Excel knowledge. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter, detail oriented and possess the ability to prioritize work in order to meet deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare monthly journal entries to meet month-end close deadlinesMaintain account analysis and prepare monthly account reconciliations to ensure compliance with GAAPCreate and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other process documentationIdentify and implement process improvementsPrepare schedules and provide information to support auditsEnsure compliance with internal controlsPerform ad hoc projects and analysis Support the Accounting team on strategic projects

Education and/or Experience    

Bachelor’s degree in accountingMBA and/or CPA a plus4+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong understanding of US GAAPExcellent documentation skillsExperience documenting processes and maintaining internal controls

Skills and Abilities  

Ability to prioritize, multi-task and ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced, changing environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent oral and written communication skills to interface with all levels of the organization and third-partiesProficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills, experience with D365 and/or Blackline a plus
