We are seeking a strategic, results‑driven analyst to deliver enterprise‑wide freight reporting, forecasting, and analytical insights. This role is pivotal in providing financial analysis and decision support to global facilities, business units, and leadership.

What You Will Do:

Lead the reporting, forecasting, and analysis of Enterprise Freight.Deliver bi-annual intransit table refresh for Revenue Recognition with insights.Lead the Inbound Seeded Freight Forecast process in One Stream xP&A. Develop the Outbound Seeded Freight Forecast process in One Stream xP&A. Administrator of One Stream xP&A Inbound Seeded Freight Forecast cubeCoordinate and communicate Enterprise freight forecast guidanceLeverage industry insights when providing financial analysis and decision support to various stakeholders including facilities, business units and leadership.Collaborate with the Freight ACOESupport applicable freight and revenue recognition SOX controls.

What You Have:

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 6+ years of accounting experienceAccuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precisionAnalytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problemsDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgmentEffective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviorsManaging Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

Top Candidates Will Have:

Familiarity with AIMS and/or One Stream

Experience in managing a Global process and collaborating with global process partners

Accounting or Finance degreeProven experience in financial analysis.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Demonstrate strong business acumen, communication, and collaboration skills.Exhibit intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Additional Information:

This position will be located in Morton, IL and requires 5 days a week in the office

Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify

Summary Pay Range:

$126,000.00 - $189,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
