The Opportunity

We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Accountant in our Lake Forest, IL location. 

As the Senior Accountant in the Americas Hub, you will serve as liaison between our Share Service Third Party provider, FP&A and CFS RTR and drive process improvements. The Senior Accountant will perform accounting related work and review journal entries and reconciliations performed by the Shared Service Third Party colleagues.  Also the Senior Accountant Core Dx (ADD) will be responsible and support USO Admin Fees process, Royalty payments, USO OEM process, and Core Dx Supply Chain.

What You'll Work On:
o    Provide guidance to Shared Service Third Party Accounting colleagues.
o    Review and approve Third Party Shared Service Accounting journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations and complete the monthly financial close process.
o    Review and assist in maintenance of third Party Shared Services Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Provides on the job training (OJT) as necessary for new Shared Service Third Party activities.
o    Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for Hub activities. Completes OJT as necessary for new activities.
o    Prepare analysis for the backup of Hub performed journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
o    Successfully navigate SAP to view documents and account balances, run reports, analyze purchase orders invoices, and utilize SAP data for analytics.
o    Efficiently complete Microsoft Excel spreadsheets including pivot tables, vlookups, conditional formatting, and analysis of data.
o    Fully support the processes for Group Purchasing Organization Admin Fees, royalty payments, OEM and other inventory via analysis and reconciliations.  Liaise with FP&A on these processes.
o    Complete analysis via SAP/SRM/Cadency of third party service provider inventory (including in transit, TPMs, and GRIR), accruals and prepaids. Prepare or approve Genpact prepared journal entries and account reconciliations based on analysis.
o    Complete external and internal audits requests, Sox requests and tax requests like R&D Tax Credit and other ad hoc related requests.
o    Liaise with FP&A, CFS, and other Americas Hub team members to execute the financial close, provide guidance, and work together to improve processes.
o    Ensure compliance with internal controls and provide support for SOX and internal audit.
o    Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including CFMs.
o    Elevate issues and recommend solutions.
o    Operate independently within a varied and changing scope of responsibilities under some supervision.
o    Complete special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and/or Business or equivalent experience.

4+ years related work experience. Prior experience in Shared Services strongly preferred.

The base pay for this position is $78,000.00 – $156,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
