Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to provide interim support during a maternity leave for the General Ledger (GL) Accounting team at a prominent defense contractor. You will join a team of four, contributing to essential accounting activities.
Responsibilities
Manage high volume intercompany accounting tasks.Prepare and execute month-end close activities.Conduct post-close account reconciliations.Post journal entries and treasury entries.Record cash receipts accurately.Support audit requests with necessary documentation.Essential Skills
3+ years of GL accounting experience with a large government contractor ($200M+ revenue).Bachelor's degree in Accounting.Proficiency in intercompany accounting.Experience with Deltek Costpoint.Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Cognos.Treasury experience.Cash account reconciliation skills.Ability to work effectively in the DMV area.Capability to take direct instructions and communicate needs clearly.Comfortable with interim contract work.Work Environment
The position offers a fully remote work setup, with standard Monday to Friday hours. However, candidates must reside in proximity to the DMV area.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
