Senior Accountant
Description 1. Provides direct support to the Director of Accounting and leadership as requested. 2. Manages an organizational division of LLUH accounting, ensuring compliance with appropriate regulations and requirements. 3. Maintains accounting policies and procedures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), regulations and LLUH standards. 4. Performs and monitors the effectiveness of internal controls for the General Accounting functions. 5. Ensures optimization of processes and continually seeks to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of workflows and processes. 6. Ensures all financial activities and transactions are recorded timely, accurately, and in accordance with GAAP. 7. Works with other finance leads and staff to ensure timely and accurate data flow and recording of transactions. 8. Support the timely preparation and review of monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP. 9. Prepares journal entries, performs account reconciliations and reviews the work of staff accountants 10. Facilities the month-end / year-end close process 11. Supports the Financial Reporting Analysts in the reconciliation of inter-company activity and the preparation of month-end consolidated financial statements and variance reports to track non-recurring and/or unusual financial activity. 12. Coordinates and facilitates the work and requests of internal and external auditors. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
