Job Description

This position is a key member of the water accounting team, responsible for collaborating with water subsidiaries and the parent company’s Financial Reporting and Consolidation teams. The role ensures the production of high-quality internal and external financial reports. The accountant will engage in various accounting functions, including preparing monthly journal entries, handling intercompany transactions, and performing monthly reconciliations.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with water subsidiaries and the parent company’s Financial Reporting and Consolidation teams.Prepare monthly journal entries and manage intercompany transactions.Perform monthly reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.Engage in year-end reconciliation processes.Utilize Excel for data analysis, including using Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP.Participate actively in month-end close processes, handling 55-65 journal entries.

Essential Skills

2-3 years of accounting experience.Proficient in SAP, including SAP S4 Hana.Strong skills in Excel, particularly Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP.Initiative and problem-solving capabilities.

Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid work schedule, with two days in the office (including Tuesday) and one flexible day, while the remaining three days are work-from-home.

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.07/hr.
