Senior Accountant
**Job Description​** **The Opportunity:** **Saint Luke’s Hospital** is seeking a Senior Accountant who coordinates, implements, and oversees the entity's complex accounting activities including; journal entries, financial statements, fixed assets, account reconciliations, compliance with GAAP accounting, financial reporting requirements, and assistance with budget process. Must have Bachelors degree and 3-5 years experience. Grant, research, and/or fund accounting preferred. **The Work:** + Training and providing daily supervision of staff accountants accounting specialists accounting technicians and accounting interns. + Reviews recorded journal entries and monthly financial statements identifying unusual or significant variances to ensure financial statements are fairly stated. + Completion of accounting areas that are more complex or judgmental in nature with oversight from the manager or finance team. + Position is responsible for special projects as assigned. **Skills required:** + Advanced Excel experience – comfort utilizing formulas, pivot tables, xlookup, vlookup, etc. + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. + Eager to problem solve, takes initiative, and works independently. + Adaptability and critical thinking. + Communication with physicians – routine, dependable, and professional. + Must be organized and highly detail-oriented. **Why Saint Luke’s?** We believe in creating a collaborative environment, while looking for innovative ways to improve.
