The role is a newly created position as they are looking to expand their accounting and finance team. Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the financial integrity of our organization by ensuring accurate and timely monthly closings, preparing financial reports, and maintaining compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards.

Responsibilities

Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing of financial books, reviewing and documenting variances for management.Make manual journal entries in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and internal controls, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.Review and post journal entries appropriately.Reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts monthly, researching and resolving variances promptly.Respond to email and phone inquiries from internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner.Collaborate with Operations and Sales departments to ensure smooth month-end closings and regular preplanning.Support internal and external audits as required.Initiate automation of manual processes when appropriate, including special projects and system implementations.Participate in team events to foster a cohesive team spirit.Operate responsibly and comply with company policies at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of accounting experience requiredBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance requiredAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong understanding of accounting principles, general ledger, reconciliation, and month-end processesCPA certification preferredExperience in the manufacturing industry is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
