Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous Senior Accountant to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure data integrity within our ERP system. In this role, you will collaborate with IT and operations teams to identify the root causes of system errors and recommend process improvements to prevent recurring issues. Additionally, you will document findings and corrective actions for audit and compliance purposes.
Responsibilities
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and data integrity issues within the ERP system.Collaborate with IT and operations teams to identify root causes of system errors.Recommend and implement process improvements to prevent recurring issues.Document findings and corrective actions for audit and compliance purposes.Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting during the month-end close process.Ensure accuracy and completeness of month-end financial data.Support variance analysis and reporting for management review.Help optimize close timelines and improve reporting efficiency.Work closely with finance, operations, and IT teams to align ERP functionality with business needs.Provide training and guidance to staff on ERP-related accounting processes.Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).Proven experience in troubleshooting ERP accounting errors.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Additional Skills & Qualifications
CPA certification is preferred.Experience with ERP upgrades.Knowledge of accounting processes in a manufacturing setting.Proficiency in month-end close activities and financial statement preparation.Work Environment

This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Dress code is business casual, and you will utilize leading ERP systems and accounting software to perform your duties.

This is a Contract position based out of Janesville, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $55.00/hr.
