Description
The Senior Accountant position requires knowledge of general accounting duties including experience in GAAP reporting, accruals, monthly financial statements, inventory analysis and budgets. In this role, the Senior Accountant will prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. In this key role, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting activities, providing support to Finance and Operations departments, and driving process improvements.
Duties:
+ Facilitates monthly management report out to parent company including communicating deadlines, providing key financial data and highlights, and conducting overall review.
+ Assist in the development and evolution of accounting policies and procedures.
+ Analyzes and interprets operating results and provides monthly variance commentary and reporting.
+ Perform analysis of inventory position and partner with Sales & Operations to determine excess or obsolete inventory and make recommendations for disposition.
+ Ensure compliance with General Accepted Accounting Principles.
+ Manages the A/R aging balance to ensure timely collection of receivables and resolves discrepancies with customers.
+ Develops and monitors accruals to facilitate closing process.
+ Manages the financial aspects of special customer/vendor relationships and agreements, and reports the status of these relationships to manager on a timely basis.
+ Manages treasury functions to include bank reconciliation, cash receipts and other cash-related entries.
+ Manages all aspects of capital assets, including but not limited to collaborating with project managers on cash flow, timing, spend, and commitments. Facilitates monthly meetings and reviews, fixed asset related reporting, and maintains current asset listing for additions, disposals, and retirements.
+ Assists manager in advising and directing work functions of the accounting department.

+ Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
+ Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
+ Support safety policies and program
Preferred Experience:
+ Two to five years of related accounting experience preferred
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
+ Demonstrate knowledge of technology with ERP systems i.e. Sage preferred
+ Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required
+ Small company (<500) experience a plus
+ Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
+ Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels within organization. Demonstrated technical expertise (i.e., picks up on new application of technical accounting quickly, can learn new skills and has desire to learn)
+ General knowledge of confidential data and financial information management processes and ability to utilize discretion with sensitive information
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
+ Demonstrated ability for strong time management (i.e., uses time effectively and efficiently; values time of others)
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to discern and make recommendations based on information readily available and/or arrive at proper conclusions.
+ Possesses ability to work within a changing growing environment
Training, Certification or License:
+ CPA preferred but not required
+ Department cGMP and SOP requirements
+ INL Leadership Course

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $50.48/hr.
