Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Description

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. You will lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, and maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring their accuracy and completeness. Additionally, you will assist in preparing internal and external financial reports, support audits by preparing schedules, and respond to auditor inquiries.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Assist with preparation of internal and external financial reports.Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, and HR to ensure accurate financial data.Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.Help implement process improvements and automation initiatives.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5+ years of progressive accounting experience.Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with NetSuite ERP is a plus.Experience from manufacturing or product-based industry preferred.Work EnvironmentThe position requires working on-site for 5 days at the Hackensack location, with a standard work schedule of 9 am to 5 pm. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Hackensack, New Jersey.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
