As our Senior Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of strategic financial operations—leading month-end close, optimizing fixed asset accounting, and shaping GAAP compliance with precision and confidence. What You’ll Do:Own the month-end close process and balance sheet reconciliations with accuracy and insight.Lead fixed asset accounting and guide teams on expense classifications that drive smarter decisions.File monthly State Use and B&O taxes and support annual data tax collection efforts.Be a key player in internal and external audits—gathering, reporting, and presenting with clarity.Prepare and submit government reports that keep us compliant and ahead of the curve.Evaluate financial activities and recommend GAAP treatments that align with best practices.Champion process improvements across AP, AR, credit, payroll, and fixed assets.Spearhead special projects like system integrations and automation initiatives.Communicate complex financial concepts in a way that empowers leadership.Build strong relationships across departments and become a trusted advisor.What You Bring:4+ years of operational accounting experience in a publicly traded company.Deep understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger processes.1+ year of hands-on experience with fixed assets and lease/fringe accounting.Strong command of US GAAP and internal policy compliance.Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments preferred.Proficiency in Tier 1/Tier 2 ERP systems—Oracle experience is a plus.Intermediate or Advanced Excel skillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related Business major.Leadership experience as a mentor or manager is highly valued.Why You’ll Love It Here:Transparent, open-door culture that values your voice and ideas.Collaborative team of accounting and finance professionals who support each other.Flexible hybrid schedule with in-office collaboration in Portland and Tualatin.Opportunities to work with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors.A culture that celebrates individual and team success—and pushes for excellence.Apply today or reach out to an Aston Carter associate for more information!Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
