Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role involves a broad range of month-end close responsibilities, including balance sheet account reconciliations, and requires a solid understanding of US GAAP. The successful candidate will lead fixed asset accounting and advise cross-functional teams on asset expense classification. Additionally, the role includes filing monthly State Use and B&O tax, supporting annual data tax collection, assisting with audit document collection and reporting, and preparing various government reports. The Senior Accountant will also evaluate financial activities, recommend correct GAAP accounting treatments, and support continuous improvement cycles within accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, fixed assets, and payroll. You will lead special projects such as new system integrations, communicate complex ideas clearly to management, and develop strong relationships throughout the organization.
ResponsibilitiesManage month-end close processes, including balance sheet account reconciliations.Lead fixed asset accounting and advise on asset expense classifications.File monthly State Use and B&O tax and support annual data tax collection.Assist with internal and external audit document collection and reporting.Prepare and submit various required government reports.Evaluate and recommend GAAP accounting treatments and adherence to internal policies.Support continuous improvement in processes and controls within financial operations.Lead special projects, including new system integrations.Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to management.Develop and maintain relationships throughout the organization.Essential Skills4+ years of operational accounting experience in a publicly traded company.Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger processes.1+ year of experience with fixed assets.Strong understanding of GAAP.Experience in the industrial or manufacturing industry preferred.Proficiency in Tier 1/Tier 2 ERP Software, with Oracle preferred.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including Pivots and VLOOKUPS.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business.Previous experience as a lead, mentor, or manager for full-time position consideration.Additional Skills & QualificOur ClientonsDirect manufacturing experience.Experience with Oracle ERP system.Lease accounting experience.Fringe accounting experience.Work Environment

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
