We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Accountant with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, including month-end close, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Experience in the manufacturing or logistics industry is essential, as this role supports complex operational and financial processes unique to these environments. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting business performance through reliable financial insights.
Job Description:Post journal entries and maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.Maintain and enforce internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.Support cost accounting processes, inventory valuation, and conduct production-related financial analysis.Record and analyze revenue transactions in compliance with applicable accounting standards.Lead and support month-end and year-end close activities, including the preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysis.Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, manage accruals, and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.Record payroll journal entries, reconcile payroll accounts, and ensure accurate booking of employee expenses.Qualifications to Apply:Bachelors in Accounting or Finance Proficiency in month-end processes, reconciliation, journal entries, and balance sheet preparation.Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.Advanced skills in using pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, JDE, and Oracle.Experience in the manufacturing or logistics industry is required.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
