SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, FSI (Financial Services & Insurance)

YOUR IMPACT
As a Senior Account Executive specializing in the Financial Services and Insurance (FSI) sector, you will help Canada’s leading banks, insurers, and financial institutions leverage information to grow faster, operate more efficiently, and securely navigate an increasingly digital world.
You will be part of a high‑performing global team of entrepreneurial professionals who understand that FSI organizations are undergoing rapid transformation driven by regulatory pressures, customer expectations, operational modernization, and the evolving security landscape.
Your customers will rely on your deep FSI expertise, stable network of executive relationships, and strong understanding of the industry’s top business and technology priorities. You will guide them in solving their most pressing challenges, accelerating their journey to the cloud, and modernizing the digital capabilities that underpin their competitive advantage.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
· Building and nurturing trusted, long‑term relationships with FSI executives and senior decision makers.
· Applying consultative selling approaches and active listening to truly understand customer needs and industry drivers.
· Developing and executing comprehensive territory and account engagement plans.
· Identifying, qualifying, and converting new opportunities into measurable revenue.
· Leading and executing each stage of the complex enterprise sales cycle—from pipeline creation to closing.
· Delivering compelling presentations, business cases, and value-based conversations tailored to FSI priorities.
· Clearly articulating the value of OpenText’s solutions and the transformational possibilities of the digital financial enterprise.
· Collaborating closely with internal product, services, engineering, and executive teams to deliver the strongest outcomes for customers.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
· 15+ years of experience selling enterprise software or SaaS solutions, with a proven track record of success in the FSI sector
· Deep and stable executive-level relationships within the FSI industry, with the ability to navigate complex organizations and buying committees.
· Strong understanding of FSI industry priorities, including operational resiliency, digital customer experience, regulatory compliance, cloud modernization, security & risk management, AI adoption, and cost optimization.
· Demonstrated success working consultatively with C‑level leaders, and Heads of Lines of Business.
· Expert knowledge of the modern B2B buying process, procurement cycles, and competitive landscape within FSI.
· Ability to apply advanced sales methodologies and deal strategies to consistently achieve and exceed quota.
· Intellectual curiosity and a strong appetite for learning new solutions, technologies, and industry trends.
· Completion of post-secondary education and a demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
