Your Opportunity: Venture Solutions (a Taylor company) is seeking a experienced Senior .Net Developer.

Your Responsibilities:

Lead development projects from design through delivery, ensuring high standards for code quality, performance, scalability, security, and maintainabilityProvide day-to-day technical leadership for the development team by mentoring junior and mid-level developers and serving as a technical point of escalationConduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding standards, and promote best practices across the teamAssign development tasks, guide implementation approaches, and ensure work is completed accurately and on scheduleSupport developers by helping troubleshoot complex technical challenges, production issues, and performance bottlenecksMaintain, enhance, and debug existing VB.NET applications while actively driving modernization efforts in C#Lead and contribute to refactoring efforts to reduce technical debt and improve long-term system stabilityParticipate in application design, system architecture, and technical decision-making with an enterprise-level mindsetCollaborate closely with QA, Business Analysts, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and deliver reliable solutionsDevelop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures with a focus on performance and data integrityAnalyze and resolve database-related issues, including long-running queries and resource contentionDesign, implement, and support integrations using RESTful APIs and service-based architecturesEnsure proper error handling, logging, and monitoring are built into applicationsSupport release planning, deployment readiness, and post-release validation activitiesWork collaboratively within cross-functional teams of multiple developers, contributing to shared ownership and team successContinuously evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements to technology, tools, and processes

You Must Have:

Minimum of seven years of professional software development experience in an enterprise or production environmentStrong expertise in C# with the ability to lead new development and modernization initiativesVery strong working knowledge of VB.NET, including the ability to support and enhance legacy systemsAdvanced SQL development experience, including complex queries, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and performance tuningHands-on experience with Git-based source control and tools such as Azure DevOps or TFSDemonstrated experience mentoring developers and guiding technical growth within a teamProven ability to lead technical discussions, make sound engineering decisions, and take ownership of outcomesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate and resolve issuesAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and qualityExcellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersSelf-starter who can work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environmentBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

We Would Also Prefer:

Industry experience including direct marketing, e-commerce, print, graphic design and insurance and financial servicesExperience developing and integrating RESTful APIsFamiliarity with Microsoft Azure or other cloud-based platforms and servicesBackground supporting enterprise-scale, production-critical applications with high reliability requirementsExposure to Agile or hybrid development methodologiesExperience with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and deployment processesUnderstanding of secure coding practices and compliance considerationsPrior experience in a technical lead or senior mentoring role is a strong plus

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
