Join Walmart as a Senior Software Engineer and play a hands-on role in building the next generation of enterprise productivity and content platforms. You’ll design, code, and deliver scalable, secure software that empowers millions of associates to access knowledge and work smarter. As part of Enterprise Content Services (ECS), you’ll develop full stack applications and integrate AI technologies to enable intelligent search, summarization, and automation—driving the future of how information flows and work gets done across Walmart’s global enterprise.
About the team:
The Enterprise Content Services (ECS) team supports Walmart’s global workforce by delivering advanced content management, search, feedback, and eDiscovery solutions. As part of the Associate Productivity & Experience organization, ECS collaborates with leading SaaS providers to enhance content, creative, and project management capabilities. The team focuses on modernizing content and collaboration platforms to make information more intelligent, discoverable, and actionable. ECS drives efficiency by enabling associates to access essential knowledge and tools, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in software development and solution design across the enterprise.
What you'll do: Analyze and translate business requirements into scalable, secure software solutions.Design and build full stack applications integrating AI, content, and collaboration platforms.Develop maintainable, testable code aligned with performance and security standards.Create automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines to enhance efficiency and reliability.Execute testing, defect tracking, and regression validation to ensure high-quality delivery.Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with stakeholders to assess risks, recommend solutions, and support agile development iterations.
What you'll bring: Extensive experience as full-stack software development with proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python and related frameworks.Strong knowledge of software design patterns, solution architecture, and scalable distributed systems.Expertise in Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and automation scripting.Ability to analyze and translate business requirements into functional and non-functional technical solutions.Skilled in debugging, defect management, and performance troubleshooting to ensure high availability and maintainability.Familiarity with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and application telemetry implementation.Commitment to coding standards, security policies, and quality assurance best practices.
