Senior, Software Engineer
Position Summary...The Walmart Cloud Native Platform (WCNP) is Walmart’s next-generation platform designed to run millions of workloads across global regions with high availability, cost efficiency, and enterprise-grade security. WCNP provides the foundational layer for Walmart’s digital ecosystem, powering customer-facing applications, backend services, and critical business operations at scale.
WCNP is built on Kubernetes and cloud-native principles, integrating advanced fleet management, workload orchestration, and service reliability capabilities. It delivers:
• Scalability to support massive seasonal and event-driven demand.
• Resiliency through distributed, multi-region clusters and automated failover.
• Efficiency via optimized resource utilization and FinOps-driven cost management.
• Security & Compliance with zero-trust, policy-driven guardrails, and enterprise identity integration.
• Innovation by adopting AI and agentic AI to enable predictive scaling, anomaly detection, and autonomous remediation.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in designing, building, and operating large-scale Kubernetes clusters. You will focus on developing platform components, automations, improving observability, and strengthening platform security while ensuring high performance and cost efficiency. This role requires strong expertise in Kubernetes internals, cloud infrastructure (Azure/GCP), and coding in Golang or Python. You will also apply AI-assisted tooling for anomaly detection and operational insights to make fleet operations more reliable and proactive.
