What you'll do...
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior, Data Steward to join our Merchandising Data Enablement team at Walmart. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding the business value and relevance of data and data-enabled insights/decisions. You will collaborate closely with data providers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the best data assets are selected, enriched, and made available for Merchandising needs. Your knowledge in assortment and space decisions will be key to ensure the right data fuels decision-making and innovation. You will have an understanding of the data ecosystem, including data management, data quality standards, data governance, accessibility, storage, and scalability. Additionally, you should have an understanding of the methods and applications that unlock the monetary value of data assets.
What you’ll do…
Understand, articulate, interpret and apply the principles of our defined strategy to unique, moderately complex business problems that may span multiple functions or domains.You will be responsible for data source identification, data governance, data quality management, and master data and metadata management.Identify suitable data sources, perform data quality checks, establish and implement data governance practices, manage data quality issues, and maintain master data and metadata.You will provide recommendations to business stakeholders to solve complex business issues, develop business cases for projects, and translate business requirements into projects, activities, and tasks aligned with the overall business strategy.You will contribute to the expansion and governance of Walmart’s AI data agents including Wally, by implementing trusted, scalable data strategies that enhance transparency, accuracy, and user experience.You'll sweep us off our feet if...

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
