Our client, a leading organization in the technology and cybersecurity sector, is seeking a Security & Compliance Engineer to join their team. As a Security & Compliance Engineer, you will be part of the Trusted Technology Group supporting internal Azure environments and application development efforts. You’ll work across multiple teams to remediate security issues, advise on secure DevOps practices, and assist with investigations, all while supporting both technical and non-technical groups. **Job Title:** **Security & Compliance Engineer** **Location:** Remote – high preference for candidates able to meet in Redmond, WA or Washington, DC two days per month. **Pay Range:** $38/hr - $43/hr **What's the Job?** + Implement and maintain Azure security and compliance configurations in line with organizational policies and initiatives. + Advise development teams on secure coding, deployment, and DevOps best practices to enhance security posture. + Remediate security findings across infrastructure, applications, and deployment pipelines to ensure compliance. + Assist with basic security investigations and troubleshoot compliance issues to minimize risks. + Manage user and group access to Azure environments, ensuring appropriate permissions and security controls. **What's Needed?** + 4+ years of experience with Azure and cybersecurity best practices. + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. + Proficiency with Azure IaaS/PaaS administration, Azure Portal, PowerShell, and CLI. + Experience with secure application development, deployment practices, and Azure DevOps. + Strong understanding of security configurations such as encryption, NSGs, firewalls, and certificate management. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work with a renowned organization in the cybersecurity space, enhancing your professional profile. + Flexible work environment with the possibility of remote work, supporting work-life balance. + Chance to develop and refine skills in Azure security, compliance, and DevOps practices. + Potential for contract extension up to 18 months, providing stability and ongoing growth opportunities. + Engage in meaningful projects that contribute to organizational security and compliance initiatives.
