Security Systems Technician
Job Description Insight Global is hiring a Security Systems Technician on behalf of our client to install, program, troubleshoot, and service a variety of low-voltage security systems across commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, and institutional environments. The technician will work on CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, and network configuration, including running and terminating cabling, commissioning systems, responding to service calls, performing preventative maintenance, upgrading systems, and providing technical support and training to end users. This role requires strong technical aptitude, professionalism onsite, and the ability to work independently while communicating effectively with project managers and clients. Skills and Requirements • 2+ years experience installing/servicing security systems  • Strong hands-on experience with:   ○ Intrusion alarms (DSC, Qolsys, Alarm.com)   ○ Access control (ICT, 2N, Latch, HID – readers, strikes, maglocks, controllers)   ○ CCTV systems (Axis, Hikvision, Avigilon – IP & analog)   ○ Low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, coax; fiber an asset)   ○ Networking fundamentals (switches, routers, PoE, VLANs)  • Ability to run, terminate, and test cabling  • Strong troubleshooting skills (remote + onsite) Valid driver’s license & clean record • Lift/scissor lift certification  • Networking certifications  • Construction site experience ESA or similar low-voltage certification
