Reporting to the Director of Security, the Security Manager manages security activities and personnel assigned to a shift.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Manager supervises Security Supervisors. The Security Manager insures compliance with all casino policies. The Security Manager provides leadership and direction in order to create a safe environment for all of Horseshoe’s guestsServes as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation, and open communicationActs as a role model and coaches while developing employees using a consistent, approachable demeanor, and clearly articulating expectationsEndorses the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesar's EntertainmentEnsures that each team member clearly understands and is held accountable for their respective performance expectationsDirects all activities on the assigned shiftMonitors activity regarding Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency commission regulations and company policies to ensure effective performanceHandles compliance matters related to the Security Department. Supervises, trains, and coordinates staff to ensure compliance with all policies, and MLGCA regulations and court appearances Monitors incident reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and initiates investigation processesMonitors the exclusion list and ensures effective enforcement where appropriateIs accountable for service goals and objectives as well as customer complaints and claims Determines manpower requirements within shift hours and schedules personnel to provide maximum security coverage with minimal costsAdministers or supervises the administering of training programs for assigned personnel that will ensure the effective security of gaming and money handlingCounsels, guides, and instructs personnel on the proper performance of their dutiesCooperates with federal, state and local law enforcement agenciesIs responsible for the safety and well being of guests and employees Investigates or supervises the investigation of various incidents involving crime, employee misconduct, and issues that concern the welfare of the casino and the surrounding facilities and neighborhoodIs responsible for reviewing and approving all documents as neededInstructs, trains, and monitors officers in numerous daily duties including customer and employee relations, report writing, procedures in handling company funds, and critical incident managementQUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent5 years of law enforcement experience and/or casino security experience3 years supervisory experienceMust possess the ability to interact in a professional manner with the general publicMust possess investigation skillsMust possess excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust possess excellent customer and employee relations skills Must be able to instill a commitment to teamwork in shift personnelMust possess strong leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal skillsMust be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions in response to critical incidents and employee conflictsMust be able to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as neededMust possess the ability to speak distinctly and persuasivelyMust present a well groomed appearanceMust be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policiesMust possess the ability to effectively work with all Horseshoe Casino Baltimore departments as requiredEnvironmental Demands:
Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of timeMust be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions, when handling employee conflictsMust be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalatorMust be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneelResponds to visual and aural cuesMust have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipmentMust be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lightsMust be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as neededCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
