What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including offices, lobbies, loading areas, parking areas, stairwells and exterior walkways. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.Monitor access control points for a technology campus environment, checking credentials, assisting with visitor management and directing employees, contractors and delivery personnel.Help to deter unauthorized entry, theft and/or vandalism by maintaining a visible presence, observing for unusual activity and reporting concerns per site procedures.Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, intercoms and/or access control platforms, documenting events and escalating issues as needed.Conduct patrol observations for door status, suspicious packages, propped doors, restricted areas and/or equipment anomalies, and report maintenance issues through established channels.Complete required reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports and shift pass-downs with accurate, timely and detailed information.Support emergency response activities by assisting with evacuations, shelter-in-place procedures and communication with site contacts and public responders as directed.Provide customer-focused assistance by answering questions, giving directions and de-escalating tense situations using verbal skills consistent with site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Comfortable using computer or tablet - preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
