As a Security Officer - Warehouse Gate in Winter Haven, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet visitors and drivers, verify credentials, manage entry and exit logs, and support security-related screening for people, vehicles, and shipments. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.Control access for employees, contractors, and visitors by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing foot and vehicle traffic to designated areas.Support shipping and receiving operations by coordinating truck driver check-in and/or check-out, confirming pickup and delivery documentation as required by post orders, and reporting irregularities through the chain of command.Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems, and report suspicious activity that may help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or property damage.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, complete required reports, and conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, yards, docks, and perimeter areas as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

Have 1+ years of security experience.A guard card/license is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
