As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, log visitor and vehicle activity, and support smooth dock and yard operations. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Control access to a logistics and distribution location by screening employees, visitors, and contractors, verifying credentials, and directing authorized individuals to the proper area.Operate the access control post by issuing and collecting visitor badges, maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs, and assisting with driver and visitor check-in and/or check-out.Monitor entry and exit points for the warehouse, yard, and dock areas to help to deter unauthorized access and to identify unusual activity.Conduct bag and package inspections when required by site policy, while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach.Support shipping and receiving operations by coordinating with site contacts on visitor arrivals, scheduled appointments, and restricted-area access requests.Observe and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, damaged barriers, and/or unsecured doors or gates to site management and Allied Universal supervision.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.Use radios, phones, and computer-based systems to communicate activity, document events, and complete required reports.Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
