As a Security Officer - Warehouse Access Control in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, and support badge issuance and access requests. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, document activity, and communicate clearly with team members, drivers, and site personnel to help reduce security-related issues. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Control entry and exit at gates, dock entrances, and building access points by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing visitors, vendors, and drivers to proper locations.Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer activity, including checking paperwork, documenting seal numbers when required, and routing traffic to assigned lanes and staging areas.Maintain visitor, vendor, and contractor logs, issue and retrieve temporary badges and/or credentials per site policy, and report discrepancies to site leadership.Operate access control systems and communications equipment, including radios, phones, and intercoms, to support security-related operations across the location.Observe for unusual activity near entrances, yards, and perimeter areas and help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a visible presence and following post orders.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, dock areas, parking areas, and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance and security-related concerns.Monitor cameras and alarms when assigned, report suspicious activity, and document events according to site procedures.Complete required reports such as incident reports, shift logs, and access records accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

Have 6+ months of security-related experience.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
