Security Officer - Utilities Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol Driver in Big Creek, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine mobile patrols and visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, assist with access control, and respond to alarms and service requests with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility property, including buildings, parking areas, gates, laydown yards, and perimeter lines; working environments and conditions may vary by location.Monitor and control access points by checking identification, issuing temporary credentials when directed, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site procedures.Observe for unusual activity, unsecured doors, damaged fencing, suspicious vehicles, and other conditions that may help to deter unauthorized activity; promptly communicate concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical events, weather-related impacts, and other site interruptions.Operate and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, intrusion alarms, radios, and access control equipment as assigned, reporting malfunctions through the proper channels.Complete detailed reports, daily activity logs, patrol documentation, and incident reports that accurately describe events, actions taken, and notifications made.Provide traffic and/or pedestrian direction during shift change, deliveries, work crew movements, and special activities as directed by site procedures.Support utility operations by coordinating with authorized contractors and delivery drivers for check-in procedures, staging directions, and adherence to location rules.Maintain a professional presence and appearance, and communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, and responding public services during routine and non-routine events.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
