As a Security Officer - University Night Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors with directions and access questions, communicate clearly, and document observations. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an education location.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with campus staff and/or local responders as needed.Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity.Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, checking identification and/or credentials, assisting with directions, and documenting unusual activity per site procedures.Complete routine reports such as shift logs and incident documentation, and communicate observations and/or concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
