As a Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols and visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms, and support access control as needed. You will deliver standout customer service and clear communication while documenting activity and escalating concerns. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, loading areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by post orders, and help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or damage to property.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and local emergency services when needed.Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation, and communicate notable activity to supervisors and/or incoming officers during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

Loss prevention experience is preferred.Alarm panel experience is preferred.A guard card and/or license is preferred.CPR certification is preferred.X-ray screening experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
